“And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding...”  - Jeremiah 3:15

Pastors Kent and  Renee Jacob

Our Pastors

Pastor Kent A.  Jacob

Founder, Lead Pastor

Covenant Life Transformation Ministries

A mere five months after dedicating his life to Christ at age 17, Kent Jacob enrolled in the Miracle Ministries Institute of Ministry & Tertiary Education. At that time also, he took up the mantle of service, in the Ushering Department of his local Church, Miracle Ministries International.  He continued faithfully in that function for 16 years – 12 of which he was at the helm, providing leadership to a team of more than 35 ushers.

After completing the intense two-year Diploma course in Church Leadership and Ministerial Studies with distinction, at age 19, Kent began preaching the Gospel of Christ. Bro. Kent, as he is affectionately called, was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel in 2001 and continued to serve in several arms of Ministry.

In 1997 Rev Kent began an outreach in Frederick Settlement, Caroni.  The area is referred to as Harlem, as it gained notoriety for drugs and crime similar to that of the US district by that name.  In that community, Rev. Kent, together with a team of young persons, ministered to drug addicts, gang members and family members of infamous criminals.  Several of these persons gave their lives to Christ and continue to serve Christ to this day.

For more than 10 years Rev. Kent was employed full-time in Ministry, as one of the Administrators at his home church. His other functions included: Assistant Secretary to the Miracle Ministries Board of Education, Discipleship Leader and Head of the Youth Department.  He was also the Programme Coordinator and a Senior Lecturer at the Miracle Ministries Institute of Ministry and Tertiary Education, lecturing in the areas of Ushering & Hospitality; Ministry of Helps; Stewardship; Youth Ministry; Management and Motivation as well as other modules on the varied curriculum.

Rev. Kent has been the main facilitator for Ushers and Ministry of Helps training seminars and workshops, hosted by the Open Bible Cathedral, Church of God of Prophesy, St. John’s (London) Baptist Church, Apostles Ministry and Evangel Temple. He has been the keynote speaker at several Youth Crusades, Seminars, Conventions and Graduations.  Pastor Kent has a weekly radio programme entitled "We Speak to Nations",  which is a three-hour segment focusing on prayer for the nation and national transformation. He  also ministers periodically television.

Pastor Kent is passionate about the call of the church to make disciples.  He can be often heard saying that Christlikeness is the ultimate goal of discipleship. He declares that our overall objective as a ministry is to have trained disciples train disciples to train disciples, in a continuing process that focuses on personal transformation and the lordship of Jesus Christ being established in each of our lives.  This pastor believes that there is a need for the Church to return to biblical Christianity and holding fast to the truth of God's Word. It is only by continuing in the Word that true disciples are made.

Pastor Kent has committed his life to teaching, mentorship, biblical counseling and leadership, which he says is encapsulated under the term shepherding.

Pastor Kent serves on the Boards of OM Caribbean and OM Trinidad and Tobago (OM - Operation Mobalisation, is an international missionary organisation that has ministry in more than 110 countries). He holds ministerial credentials with the Assemblies of God International Fellowship (AGIF).

Rev. Kent is the husband of one wife, Renee, who is very supportive and a source of inspiration and encouragement to him in life and ministry. They have three children Elisha (15), Johanna (12), and Christopher (10).
