Today I invite you to read Ephesians 5:1-11.
After Paul gives the clear and concise instructions to be "followers of God" and to "walk in love" (vs.1, 2), he then gives a strong admonition and stern warning concerning our conduct and behaviour as saints.
In verse three, Paul underscores that there are certain things that just must not be done by
us as Believers in Jesus - NOT EVEN ONCE! These must not be practiced by us at all.
Further, in verse five, using summary terms, the Apostle gives us the warning, which he is certain that we know. No whoremonger, unclean or covetous person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. These things invite the wrath of God and are acts carried out by children of disobedience (not the Children of God, which we are). We are not to partake in these with them.
I see this passage as a clarion call to Holiness. Let us therefore follow after holiness, because without it, we cannot see God (Heb. 12:14).
